A UV Light Installed Where Your Air Already Flows
You've heard of UV air purifiers but you're not sure what they actually do or whether they're worth it for your house. Here's the plain version: a UV light installs inside your ductwork or at your air handler and treats the air stream as it passes by, all day, without you thinking about it.
What we will not tell you
We won't tell you a UV light cures allergies, prevents colds or flu, or kills a specific percentage of germs in your home. Those are claims we can't back up for a residential system, and a straight answer matters more to us than a sale.
What we can tell you honestly
It's one more layer working on the air that passes through that point in your ductwork, alongside filtration and regular maintenance. It is not a replacement for either one.
How a UV air purifier works
A UV air purifier is a lamp, usually installed near your indoor coil or inside the main duct run, that stays on while your system runs. Air passing that point in the ductwork is exposed to the UV light. That's the entire mechanism. It treats the air moving through that specific point in your system, not the air in your whole house at every moment, and not the air in rooms with the door closed and the system off.
1
Placement assessment
We check your system's static pressure and duct sizing before recommending a filter, not after.
2
Installation
Mounted lamp with a dedicated power tap, wired into your existing system.
3
Bulb life review
We tell you the expected bulb replacement interval so it doesn't quietly stop working.
4
Walkthrough
You'll know where it is, how to tell it's on, and when it needs a new bulb.
Is a UV air purifier right for your system?
You already run a whole-home filter and want an added layer for the air stream
Your indoor coil has had a musty smell or visible buildup in the past
You're comparing air quality add-ons and want the honest tradeoffs of each
You're not expecting it to solve a specific medical or allergy concern on its own
If any of these sound familiar, it's time to call
Systems rarely fail without warning. Catching it early is almost always cheaper than an after-hours repair.

Pricing and estimates
UV system pricing depends on the lamp type, placement, and whether your electrical setup needs any additional work. We'll walk your system, explain what we recommend and why, and give you one clear number before we install anything. Ask about payment options.
